Perhaps their DNA have deviated far enough to be not incest? Plus Heidi show obvious signs of affections towards Gawain, so they might not think it is inappropriate. I think the only obstacle is Gawain/Gao Wen doesn't seem to see Heidi that way.

its age of empires the animation. thats why we love it. maybe closer to age of mythology.
